Matcha Frappuccino w/ Lavender Whip

I don’t frequent Starbucks unless I am out on a work trip and want to treat one of my team members to a yummy bevvy! It’s hard to keep up with all the new drink options that our favorite coffee shops offer now. It seems like weekly there is a new creation on the menu! On one of my last work trips, I saw a Matcha latte with some lavender cold foam and I thought it was a perfect combo. I gave the drink a try and really enjoyed it! I knew I could create something similar at home for less calories and definitely less money! I came up with the Frapp option and made my own homemade lavender whip by just infusing some heavy cream with lavender and whipping it until nice and frothy. This drink was super easy to make and will be on the regular rotation around here when I’m in the mood for a refreshing pick me up!

Ingredients

  • *For the Frapp*

  • 1 1/2 tsp 1 1/2 Green Tea Matcha Powder

  • 1 cup 1 Milk of Choice(I used Almond Milk)

  • 1 oz 1 Vanilla Flavored Syrup (like Torani)

  • 2 cups 2 Ice

  • *For the Lavender Whip*

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Heavy Cream

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Dried Culinary Lavender Buds

Directions

  • Add all ingredients for Frapp in a high powered blender and blend until smooth
  • On the stove top, combine lavender and heavy cream on low until your cream starts to simmer. Once it starts to simmer, remove from heat and steep for 30-45 minutes. Strain lavender from the cream and place cream in the fridge to chill. Remove and beat with a mixer until it thickens. Proceed with step 1 once your cream is ready.
