Cinnamon Chocolate Granola

Some of my favorite breakfast options are a cup of juicy berries, sweet honey greek yogurt and granola! I have been buying bags of granola for quite awhile and I finally decided to develop my own recipe. I have to tell you, now that I have made my own, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to store bought! It is so easy to throw together and gives you so much to store away to have for your daily breakfasts or snacks. This would also be a perfect homemade Christmas present for the holidays or a lovely hostess gift when you are unsure of what to bring. I love the combination of cinnamon and chocolate in this crunchy granola. Pair it with some fresh berries and your favorite yogurt or top on some ice cream to elevate your sundae game. However you decide to partake in this tasty treat, I’m sure it will be D to the LISH!

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups 3 1/2 Rolled Oats

  • 1 cup 1 Chopped Walnuts

  • 1 cup 1 Sliced Almonds

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Dark Brown Sugar

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 All Spice

  • 1 tsp 1 Sea Salt

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Coconut Oil

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Maple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Cocoa Powder

  • 1 tsp 1 Vanilla

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Cinnamon Chips

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions

  • To begin, add oats, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, all spice and salt in a large bowl. Toss to combine
  • Melt coconut oil in the microwave and add it to a small mixing bowl with maple syrup, cocoa powder and vanilla. Stir to combine until smooth and add to oat and nut mixture. Using a spatula, combine all together until all oats and nuts are coated well with the cocoa mixture
  • Place parchment paper on large baking sheet and spread granola out onto the baking sheet. In a 325 degree oven, bake for 35 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes to ensure even baking
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle half of the cinnamon and chocolate chips on top. Let sit for 5 minutes then mix in to your granola. Sprinkle remaining chips on top and allow to cool fully. Enjoy on yogurt, ice cream or just by the spoonful! LOL
