Brown Butter Cinnamon Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread

There is nothing like a warm piece of banana bread right out of the oven slathered with a sweet butter topping! Based on this recipe, I’m sure you can tell I’m a fan of banana bread doubling as dessert! LOL! I used cinnamon and chocolate chips in this recipe to add to the cinnamon flavor in the bread. The cinnamon honey butter is the perfect addition to this sweet, moist banana bread! Add this recipe to your next brunch menu and your guests will be asking for seconds!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups 1 1/2 Flour

  • 1 tsp 1 Baking Soda

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 Nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 All Spice

  • 3 3 Ripe Bananas

  • 1 1 Egg

  • 1 tsp 1 Vanilla

  • 3/4 cup 3/4 Granulated Sugar

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Browned Butter

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Cinnamon Chips

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Chocolate Chips or Chunks

Directions

  • To begin, preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Place butter in a skillet and melt until browned. Remove from heat and set aside
  • Mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and all spice. Set aside
  • Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, mash bananas and add egg, vanilla, sugar and browned butter. Mix together and then add dry ingredients and mix well
  • Fold in cinnamon chips and chocolate chips. Pour batter into a sprayed loaf pan
  • Bake for 55 minutes
  • Enjoy a piece slathered with cinnamon honey butter(See Notes) and ENJOY!

Notes

  • To make cinnamon honey butter, add 1/2 cup butter, 2 Tbsp honey and strong pinch of cinnamon. Mix together and enjoy on a warm piece of bread!
  • You can use all chocolate chips in this bread if you can’t find cinnamon chips.
