Crispy Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwich

Wow! All I can say is WOW!! I saw this viral trend floating around talking about a chicken caesar salad sandwich and I knew I needed to give it a try! This sandwich was sooo good! I made my chicken milanese recipe for the crispy chicken and toasted a sub roll with some melted provolone cheese and topped it with a mound of caesar salad and pickled red onions. I’m sure there are a ton of versions out there where you make your own caesar salad and dressing, but I wanted to make this sandwich as quick and easy as possible, so I used the help of a bagged caesar salad kit and it made it super easy. This is a definite must try!

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Parmesan Cheese

  • 2 tsp 2 Italian Seasoning

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Flour

  • 2 2 Eggs

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Canola Oil

  • 4 4 Sub Rolls

  • 4-8 4-8 Slices Provolone Cheese

Directions

  • To begin, add panko, parmesan cheese and italian seasoning to a shallow bowl. Toss together. In two other shallow bowls, add flour in one and beaten eggs in the other
  • Preheat skillet over medium/high heat and add canola oil
  • Line bowls up in this order, flour, egg and panko crumbs. Once oil is heated through, season chicken cutlets with salt and pepper. Dredge them through the 3 bowls in the order you have them lined up and pan fry at 3 minutes per side
  • Split sub rolls, add provolone cheese and toast in the oven to melt the cheese
  • Place chicken cutlet on the sub roll. Toss salad mixture together and top chicken with caesar salad. I also added pickled red onion which added another layer of flavor that was super good. Serve with chips and a pickle. It’s time to DIVE IN!
