Aviation Cocktail

This may be one of my favorite cocktails! It’s the perfect amount of sweet and tart with the yummy addition of the floral notes in the crème de violette. The Aviation cocktail dates back to early 20th century, created by Hugo Ensslin, head bartender at New York’s Hotel Wallick. The first time the recipe appeared was in 1916. The Aviation’s name and sky-blue hue are a nod to the era’s fascination with aeronautics. This is an easy cocktail to mix up and for sure one that would impress your guests for cocktail hour with some yummy appetizers! Give it a try today!
