Brown Butter Pasta al Limone

There is nothing I love more than a comforting bowl of Pasta. Ok, I love Carl and Poppy more, but when it comes to food, pasta tops the list. I love the flavors in this super easy pasta. I start by boiling some bucatini and while that is cooking, I brown butter in a skillet with some garlic, lemon zest and juice! I then add the bucatini with pasta water and parmesan cheese. It creates the most beautiful, bright, decadent and creamy pasta! The brown butter adds a depth of flavor that really elevates this pasta dish. It’s easy, elegant and your perfect date night dinner! Pop a bottle of prosecco and surprise your love with this special dinner!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz 8 Bucatini Pasta or Spaghetti

  • 1 1 Lemon Zested and Juiced

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Butter

  • 2 2 Cloves Garlic

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese

  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup 1/2 – 3/4 Pasta Water

  • Basil and Grilled Lemon for Garnish

Directions

  • To begin, preheat your stove top and place a large pot of water on to boil. Once boiling, add salt to flavor the pasta and add your pasta. Cook pasta to al dente
  • While pasta is cooking, preheat skillet on medium/high heat. Add butter and sauté until starting to brown
  • Once butter is browned, add garlic, lemon zest and juice. Stir well
  • Add pasta and pasta water along with parmesan cheese. Stir vigorously to incorporate the cheese. The pasta water will work to bring the sauce together and create the most creamy sauce ever!
  • Ladle pasta into bowls and serve with fresh basil and grilled lemons to add additional lemon flavor if desired
