Holiday Cheeseboard

If you ask anyone who’s been to my house for a dinner party, they will tell you about a cheeseboard(or two) that they have indulged in. I have been known to go overboard on my cheeseboards a time or two. I can’t help but get carried away with all the fun, creative ways to make the board a beautiful pop with color! What I love about the cheeseboard is it allows you to give your guests some hors d’oeuvres to enjoy while you’re busy in the kitchen finishing up the main course for your dinner party. Open some wine and place some wine glasses next to the cheeseboard to invite your guests to partake in a glass of wine with their cheese. You can also make a batch of my pomegranate cosmos for those party guests who love a martini with their cheese. I gave this board some holiday flair with some fresh cranberries and pomegranate for a nice holiday pop of color. You can do whatever inspires you and I know your guests will love it! Happy Holidays and Happy Eating!

Ingredients

  • Cheese of your choice

  • Crunch of your choice(Nuts, Crackers etc)

  • Fresh or Dried Fruit(Or both)

  • Chocolate

  • Fruit Spread of choice

  • Fresh Flowers and Herb Garnish Optional

Directions

  • Place all ingredients on a board or serving platter and set out for your guests to enjoy. Serve with cocktails and wine as a pre dinner treat

Notes

  • I like to give my guests some options when it comes to the cheese. I usually offer a couple hard cheeses, a soft cheese and a stanky cheese(like blue cheese). Some people don’t care for those types of cheeses so I usually have the blue cheese in the corner of the board. LOL!
