Pork Tenderloin Souvlaki

I’ve been daydreaming of a Mediterranean getaway, so I took myself on a culinary journey with my grilled pork tenderloin souvlaki. I was transported to the Islands of Greece with every bite I took of these D to the LISH bites of perfection! I used Za’atar seasoning on the pork which offered an amazing brightness to the meat. Za’atar is a unique seasoning blend of thyme, oregano and marjoram along with other spices including sumac, sesame, cumin or coriander. It is used in middle eastern and Mediterranean dishes. This is a perfect weeknight dinner option as the pork grilled up super quick. I whipped up my easy tzatziki sauce to pair with this delightful dinner. Build yourself a sandwich with some pita or naan and serve with a nice greek salad to round out your meal! Enjoy!

  • 1-2 lb 1-2 Pork Tenderloin

  • 2 Tbsp 2 Olive Oil

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Za’atar Seasoning or Oregano

  • 2 tsp 2 Garlic Powder

  • S&P to taste

Directions

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes
  • Cube your pork, coat with olive oil and season with all seasonings
  • Thread your pork on your skewers and grill on a preheated grill at about 375-400 turning to char all sides until internal temp reads 145
  • Serve with my easy Tzatziki sauce (See notes for the recipe)and fresh cut sumac fries!

Notes

  • If you can’t find Za’atar seasoning, you can sub Oregano instead. I have a specialty store near me that carries quite a few unique seasonings that may not be carried at a national grocery chain. You can order it from Amazon if you can’t find it on your local shelves.
  • *Tzatziki Sauce Recipe* 1 cup greek yogurt, 2 mini cucumbers grated and water squeezed out, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, S&P to taste, 1 lemon zested and juiced, 1 Tbsp chopped, fresh dill. Stir well and enjoy!
