Spicy Gochujang Meatballs

Are you ready to clear your sinuses?! If you answered YES, than this is YOUR recipe! LOL! This has such an amazing sweet, spicy flavor and pairs so well with the asian inspired meatballs! You can serve this dinner with noodles or rice and your favorite veggies! Load the bowls with all of your favorite things! I chose a simple broccoli and rice combo and it was a perfect Friday night dinner to enjoy curled up on the couch with a movie.

Ingredients

  • *For the Meatballs*

  • 1/2 lb 1/2 Ground Pork

  • 1/2 lb 1/2 Ground Beef

  • 1 tsp 1 Minced Ginger

  • 2 2 Cloves Minced Garlic

  • 1 tsp 1 Pure Sesame Oil

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Minced Green Onion

  • *For Gochujang Glaze*

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 Gochujang

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Mirin

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 Honey

  • 3 3 Cloves Minced Garlic

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Minced Ginger

  • 2 Tbsp 2 Rice Wine Vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Pure Sesame Oil

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Soy Sauce

  • Splash of Fish Sauce (Optional)

Directions

  • To begin, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix ingredients for meatballs together and form into 1″ balls. Place on parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes turning half way through
  • While meatballs are baking, mix together Gochujang glaze. After meatballs have been in for 20 minutes, pull from oven, pour glaze over meatballs coating on all sides. Turn oven to broil and place meatballs back in oven with rack in the top third. Broil for 3-5 minutes watching carefully so glaze doesn’t burn
  • Serve over noodles or rice and your favorite veggies
