Ramen Noodle Skillet

Ramen Noodle Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 1 Ground Chicken

  • 2 2 Packages Ramen Noodles(Seasoning packets removed)

  • 1-2 Tbsp 1-2 Refined Sesame Oil

  • 1 1 Yellow Onion Diced

  • 2 2 Cloves Minced Garlic

  • 1 1 Bag Asian Salad Kit(Dressing and crunchy contents removed)

  • 1/3 cup 1/3 Chopped Peanuts

  • *For the Sauce*

  • 3 Tbsp 3 Soy Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp 2 Chili Garlic Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp 1 Brown Sugar

  • 1 tsp 1 Pure Sesame Oil

  • 1 tsp 1 Mined Ginger Paste

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Fish Sauce(Optional)

Directions

  • To begin, dice onion and mince garlic
  • Bring pot of water to boil for ramen noodles
  • Add refined sesame oil in skillet and add onion. Sauté until onions are translucent then add garlic. Sauté for a couple minutes
  • Add ground chicken and brown
  • While chicken is browning, boil noodles to package directions and whisk together your sauce. Once chicken is browned, add sauce to skillet and simmer
  • Drain noodles and run cold water over them to stop the cook and remove any starchy residue
  • Add asian salad kit mix to chicken. Stir to incorporate and place lid on to wilt veggies
  • Add noodles to skillet and stir to incorporate. Top with chopped peanuts and cilantro. Ladle in bowls and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can make this dish with any type of ground meat you prefer. I like it with ground chicken.
  • It doesn’t matter what type of ramen noodles you purchase. You’re only using the noodles. You can save the flavor packets for another use.
  • The asian salad kit is the perfect addition to this yummy dinner. You can use the crunchy noodles and shaved almonds as additional toppings to this dinner if you wanted. You can save the dressing in your fridge for another use.
  • Fish Sauce is optional but I would encourage you to give it a try. It adds a nice umami flavor in the dish and really balances everything out.
