Cherry Lemonade

I have the most refreshing drink for you to sip on while we’re waiting for these hot summer days to sail away! This cherry lemonade is D to the LISH! A subtle tartness from the Meyer lemons is the perfect match to the sweet cherry syrup. Only using 3 ingredients, you can whip yourself up a batch today! Make a pitcher for your next brunch for a fun option. I’ll be keeping a pitcher in the fridge for the remainder of the Summer for sure!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups 2 Pitted Sweet Cherries

  • 8 8 Meyer Lemons

  • 1 cup 1 Granulated Sugar

  • 6 cups 6 Water(5 for lemonade and 1 for syrup)

Directions

  • To begin, add your sweet cherries, sugar and 1 cup of water to a sauce pot. Bring to simmer and simmer until cherries burst and release their juices. I like to let the cherries breakdown to get the most flavor out them, so I usually let them simmer about 30 minutes
  • While cherries are simmering, juice your lemons and add to your pitcher along with 5 cups of water
  • Once your syrup is ready, strain your cherries out and add syrup to your pitcher with your lemon juice and water. Add ice and stir well
  • Add ice to your glass and pour yourself some sips to enjoy!
