Jalapeño Peach Margarita

I’m always dreaming up new ways to shake a marg and with stone fruit season upon us, I found it fitting to try out this fella. Wowza! The subtle hint of spice and sweetness of the peach syrup was the perfect marriage to the the tequila and fresh squeezed lime. This is the perfect marg to host your next happy hour with. Smash some guac, grab some chips and invite your friends over for a sweet and spicy time!

Jalapeño Peach Margarita

Ingredients

  • *For the Jalapeño Peach Syrup*

  • 3-4 3-4 Peaches or Nectarines Sliced

  • 2 2 Jalapeños Sliced with Seeds

  • 1 cup 1 Granulated Sugar

  • 1.5 cups 1.5 Water

  • *For the Margs*

  • 2 oz 2 Silver Tequila

  • 1 oz 1 Jalapeño Peach Syrup

  • 1/2 oz 1/2 Triple Sec

  • 1 1 Lime Juiced

  • Jalapeño , Lime Wedge, Mint for Garnish

Directions

  • To begin, slice your peaches and jalapeños. Place in sauce pot with sugar and water. Simmer until peaches breakdown and release their juices. Give it a good 30 minutes or more for this step. Strain your peaches saving the syrup in a jar. Discard your peaches and jalapeño slices
  • In a cocktail shaker with ice, add all ingredients for margs and shake well
  • Strain in a glass with ice and garnish with your favorites. Enjoy!
