Ang’s Thanksgiving Wine Picks 2023

Happy Thanksgiving! This is my favorite time of year to pair wine with dinner! The options are endless with what you can bring to the table to pair with your Thanksgiving feasts! I usually put out my Thanksgiving wine picks every year that break down low to moderate priced bottles. This year, I’m keeping my picks affordable as well as giving some suggestions for what you can bring for a host gift if you are attending your festivities at another house. I have some staples to mention that will be mentioned every year and some new wines to bring to the table for Thanksgiving 23!

Host Gift Suggestions

I love gifting bottles of wine when I attend dinner parties. I have two favorites to suggest! A good bubbly and a nice red that is versatile and pairs with everything! This year, my picks for your hostess gift are a nice Brut Rosé and a Côtes du Rhône which is the perfect, affordable choice!

Domaine St. Michelle Brut Rosé

This will forever and always be my pick for the perfect Thanksgiving host gift! It’s the most beautiful and affordable representation of a really good brut rosé. It stands up to some 50.00 bottles I’ve had and it retails for around 12.00 a bottle. It would pair perfectly with your turkey dinner or with a nice cheeseboard before hand.

Côtes du Rhône

This is the most amazingly affordable red blend you can find! Anywhere you go, these wines give you the most interesting characteristics of some of the best vineyards of the southern rhone region and the value is unbeatable! I pick up a bottle at Trader Joe’s when I visit for only 6.99! It would be the perfect pairing with your Thanksgiving dinner or can be saved to pair with anything you’d like for later!

Thanksgiving Pairing Picks

I am giving you 3 picks for your tables this year. I could give more but I don’t want to overwhelm you. LOL! I think all 3 of these picks would pair perfectly with your feasts and satisfy every palate seated at your table.

Black Star Farms Arcturos Pinot Gris

Now you know I couldn’t leave out a Michigan wine pick. ❤️ My heart beats the mitten state and this is the perfect white wine for your tables this year. This is the most food friendly wine for the best Thursday of the year and a great value with a retail of 12-15 dollars per bottle! You can find Pinot Gris or a refreshing Pinot Grigio anywhere but this is a very special wine and if you can get your hands on it for the big day, snatch it up and enjoy!

Gerard Bertrand Coté des Roses

Every.Single.Year! When I tell you this is on my table every single year, it has been for the past few and will always be going forward. I had someone at my table two years ago that isn’t even a wine drinker that absolutely loved this wine! It’s an affordable option as it retails for around 13.00 a bottle! It is the perfect wine to pair with everything that’s sitting on your table and would also make a beautiful host gift as well as it has a very pretty bottom that is shaped like a rose. It’s my favorite bottle design and the wine inside is the icing on the cake!

Lyric by Etude Pinot Noir

I love a good, smooth bottle of Pinot Noir. This is the perfect option for your festivities this year! Etude is one of my favorite Pinot’s and they have gifted us with a more affordable wine made by them which is Lyric! It retails around 20.00 a bottle and it is luscious! I love a good Pinot with all of my earthy and savory flavors on the table for Thanksgiving and if you can find a bottle of Lyric, I would pick up two because you’re about to fall in love!
